Who Is Velvet Rainbow?

For the last 22 years, I have dealt with the dilemma of having sensitive skin, a long list of allergies, eczema and asthma. Just name it, and I’m probably allergic to it! You might think I live in a bubble, but trust me, I research day and night because I absolutely LOVE to live my life. I like to look good while I am doing it too. Several years ago I began concocting my own home made remedies for eczema flare-ups, dry skin, dull skin, rashes and blemishes. I find it very rewarding to know I whipped up a few ingredients and just like that, my skin textures and dryness fades. Now, it’s not as simple as waving a wand and BOOM, it’s gone forever. Of course nothing is fully curable, but if I can get a few weeks of relief, I am a happy girl! If I can help anyone else get some relief, that’s even more rewarding.

During the Spring of 2020, like most of the world’s population, my world came to a screeching halt. I was working from my living room, then just like that, furloughed. Having free time for once in my life was amazing, can’t complain there, but being the busy body I am, I had to occupy my time in a big way. After painting just about my whole apartment, I had my sights set on a new quarantine adventure. 

I’ve always thought about having my own company and being self-employed, but I wanted it to be more than that. I wanted to do what I love. I wanted to be creative. And most importantly, I wanted to make a difference. You might call it the old fashioned “American Dream,” but I called it Velvet Rainbow.
